Movie Review: Monsters University

Monsters University is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Dan Scanlon is the director. This movie is the prequel of the 2001's Monsters Inc. 

For Rated G:

After 11 years that Monster Inc. invaded the theaters. This year and directly the month of June is the time for to see the prequel of the said movie. I think some kids haven't experienced yet to watch the movie, Monsters Inc. in theaters, but I think, they can watch it in DVD's or in TV. Monsters University is a prequel of the movie, Monster Inc. so it will create a sudden flash of how Mike and Sulley met before they worked in Monster Inc. You will enjoy the pre-story of Mike and Sulley after watching Monsters University. The animation of the movie is understandable and accurate to kids who will watch this movies. The humor and lessons in the story are the dominant word after you watched this movie.

Like what I said in my movie review in Rated G that some young people do not meet the run at the box office of Monster Inc. but maybe they already watched it in DVD or in TV. In previous years, some of the unforgettable movies that in single is rarely to have the sequel or prequel but in the modern times, thanks to wise directors and writers that all single movies are possible in sequel or in prequel. The story of Monsters University is not frustrating, the humorous of the movie is the dominant scenes in the movie. As Mike and Sulley lead it and also their co-characters. The lessons in this movie will appreciate for the teenagers as it's runs in the college life.

For Rated SPG:

Even the adults is certainly eager to see, Monsters University after 11 years that the Monster Inc. trigger in the theaters. The plot is simple as it is an animated film having an attraction to the kids and teenagers moviegoers. There is an obstacle that will face of the characters Mikey and Sulley in the story. The voice of the characters is surprising that even after 11 years that their voice remains. Billy Crystal as Mike's voice and John Goodman as Sullivan's voice. Sequel is maybe the word to cheer after watching this movie.

RATING: 8

Overall, Monsters University is good to watch for Filipinos that loves happiness and to the kids and teenagers for the lessons of the movie. I recommend to watch this in 3D and also enjoy the special short film before the movie premiere - "The Blue Umbrella".

My Summer Trip

All my Dream Summer Trip blogs are done. Next and the last blog about Summer Trip is not in dream but in real as documentary.

Catanduanes is in the Region V (5) or known as Bicol Region. In this region, many attractions can be seen especially in Catanduanes. This province is one of my favorite because it is the province of my dad and every summer I want to go there as my studies is in break. This province is not yet receiving any title for a "City" place but I believe in the future that this island will make it. Having not "City' place is not the weakness of Catanduanes to attract the public for the tourism of this place. As well as me, I'm a victim that Catanduanes is "Ok" even if no "City" that I experience in the Metro. 

In my first visit in Catanduanes, I did'nt know yet that there is an airport in this like island-province but in my next visits, I tried my transportation in the sky going to Catanduanes and it's good but I think it depends on the AirPlane Company. 

Virac is the only area in Catanduanes that I already visited. There's more area in the Catanduanes, I heard that more attraction places can visit. This is one of the Dream Summer Trip that I discovered more area in Catanduanes.

In the end of my blogs for Summer Trip. I hope that my Dreams come true, Hopefully when I get more in the age of Adult, I can reach my dreams to visit the attraction places here in my "Proud To Be" country - Philippines.

Movie Review: Man of Steel

Man of Steel is a 2013 American superhero film directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russel Crowe, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon. Based on the DC Comics character Superman, the film is a reboot of the Superman film series that portrays the character's origin story. Before I express my movie reviews, I would like to thank Nuffnang Philippines and Schick for the free invitations.

For Rated G:

Man of Steel is the reboot for the Superman film series so all new! There's no need to have review before watching this movie especially for children. The 2-hr. and 30 Min. film is complete for the journey of Man of Steel. From the story when he was born and what the reason why he went to Earth. Almost half of the film is full of actions, a little warning for those children that has fear to surprised.

RATING: 9

For Rated PG:

The film focuses on the story of Clark's life to be Man of Steel, it's because is the restart of the Superman film series but the film will never ends for this type of film if there's no action scenes. With the amount of action scenes, it's possible that you might not stand in your seat inside the movie theater. The battles are also great, Steel vs. Steel. The battles are non-stop but the final part is severe. The production of the film is also great that the scenes is almost realistic. You must not miss any part of the film.

RATING: PERFECT 10

For Rated SPG:

This movie is a superhero film but the adults will surely delight in this movie. The story the film is like also the other known superhero film. The combination of the affair of the hero in his fellowpeople and the battle against the villains but the visual dynamism of the film through the entire runtime of the film is dominant. The cast are great, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Kal-El, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, etc. after watching this film, you will surely wait for the sequel.

RATING: 8.5

Overall, Man of Steel is great to be the reboot of the Superman film series. The cast, Effects, Powers, etc. will attract the moviegoers and getting this movie to be one of the blockbuster movies of all time.

Movie Review: Dance of the Steelbars

Dance of the Steelbars is an Filipino Indie Drama Film directed by Cesar Apolinario and Marnie Manicad and starring Patrick Bergin, Joey Paras and Dingdong Dantes. The movie is rated R so no movie review for Rated G.

For Rated PG:

If you watched the trailer of the movie, you can tell that this movie is plenty of action but not the whole movie has action scenes because the real story of this film is the life of the prisoner in jail. It is filled with lessons for young people in today's era. The story of the film is full of hope that will inspire us. The special word in the title of the film is in the finale of this movie.

RATING: 5.5

For Rated SPG:

The story of the film is plain but the theme and concept of the film is new and that the story of the prisoners in jail with a dance. Unfortunately the production of this film is inadequate but it is understood for an indie film. The actors showed their skill in acting, Patrick Bergin as  Frank, Joey Paras as Allona, Dingdong Dantes as Mando, etc. but wait there's more, some Cebu dancing inmates participated in this film. Like the movie review in Rated PG, this movie is filled with lessons. 

RATING: 6.5

Overall, Dance of the Steelbars is great in castings and the story, it will be better if this is not an Indie film to gain more moviegoers to watch it.
